I wanted to tell you how happy we are with the
artwork you did for us. You are actually the first artist I've ever
commissioned to do any type of personal work, and I must say that
you have a left a lasting impression. I knew you had talent after
looking at your website, and that's why we chose you to do the
piece. However, I got the impression you had never done any type of
work involving a motorcycle before, yet you were able to capture the
details from a mere photograph. In fact, you made it look better
than the photograph. Not only is your talent superior, but you were
so easy to work with. You kept in constant contact and satisfied
our anticipation with updates on your progress. I never expected
that, and it made this endeavor completely anxiety free for me and
the girls. You exceeded our expectations and I can't seem to say
thank you enough.
Let me begin by saying Jessica is fantastic! Being a
guitar player I’ve always admired the sexy pinup decals that you see on
guys guitars. However, for me it made no sense to put a sticker of some
fictitious or random girl on my guitar. With the guidance and expertise of
Jessica I had a blast working with her to create a decal in the likeness
of my wife Robin. Following a few emails back and forth I quickly gained
trust in her ability to understand the scope of my proposed project; she
graciously guided me through the things that made our work together both
enjoyable and productive. Working with various photos I provided and our
combined pose ideas she was able to recreate the image in my minds eye of
the girl I fell in love with more than 30 years ago. During this project
it evolved into a trip down memory lane and allowed me to remember what a
great girl I married and consider myself fortunate to have pursued this
project with Jessica. She is a brilliantly talented young artist who
communicates marvelously, and also her ability to respond to challenges
and offer creative suggestions during the project showed me that she is a
true professional. I was so impressed with the artwork that I had her
create me a 13” x 19” signed print that is absolutely breathtaking; the
pictures on the website don’t accurately represent the quality of her
work. The decal version will also be proudly placed on the special
Telecaster guitar I’m building once it is completed. I surprised Robin
with the framed photo on our 23rd wedding anniversary and she was so
overwhelmed by it she cried; but she absolutely loves it and thinks it’s a
wonderful representation of her. This is a fantastic process that I
enjoyed immensely and would recommend to anyone. Thanks for everything
Jessica; you’re the greatest.

Working with Jessica was a fantastic experience and she
deserves the highest recommendation possible. She was extremely
professional throughout our communication, yet friendly and willing to
take the time to discuss the various steps of the process. Having never
commissioned an artist before, much less for an image of this kind, she
was patient with my questions and inspired my utmost confidence. I was
nervous at first about sending a stranger such intimate photos of myself,
but found her to be extremely trustworthy and non-judgmental. I
appreciated very much her honesty and willingness to share her artistic
opinion when asked to do so. Jessica did so much more than just
put together a painting for me. I really felt like she put as much effort
into my piece as she would have for the beautiful models she works with
J She
gave me invaluable pointers on framing as well as suggestions on aspects
of the painting when I asked for them, while making sure my own visions
were recognized. Jessica is extremely prompt with communications and
generously shares in-progress photos and details about the work she is
putting together for you. The final product she gives you is beyond
beautiful and a definite testimony to how talented she really is. She was
a real pleasure to work with and I wish her nothing but success in the
future. I plan to contact her again for another piece!

Jessica,
Just wanted to tell you how much I LOVE the digital painting of my wife! I
have always wanted a painting of her and you created exactly what I had in
mind. Without knowing you personally and never having met you, I was a
little uneasy at first sending pictures of my wife to you, but your
professionalism and courtesy made me feel much more comfortable. The fact
that you are also a beautiful woman made me feel comfortable and confident
that I could trust you with this painting. You have been very responsive
to me and were able to meet every bit of detail I requested, without a
problem. I looked at several different artists who offer commission work
and I selected you because of your obvious talent, your insight into
explaining the process to me, and your "can-do" attitude. I received my
painting today and I cannot wait to have it framed and hanging in our
house. Several friends have seen it and have commented on the level of
detail and overall beauty in this painting. I wish you the best Jessica
and I hope to bring more business to you!

Jessica,
Just dropping you a line to let you know how much I appreciated working
with you. I commissioned a piece of artwork from you that has left
everyone that sees it very impressed. We corresponded with many dozens of
e-mails and digital photographs to get the piece just right. I was
impressed with your work ethic and commitment to do an excellent job,
which you did. I felt comfortable with you and trusted your
professionalism even though we never met and the entire project was
communicated by e-mail.
I would highly recommend your work to anyone.
Good luck with future projects,

As the Operating Manager of Ruthie's Club, I work
with a lot of artists and on a daily basis. Working with Jessica was one
of the best experiences I could ask for. She was timely, open to
suggestions, and her art was superior. She gave me the opportunity to
see the work in progress and to make changes if need be. The finished
product was better than I had imagined it would be, and the cost was
money well spent. I look forward to working with Jessica again. She's a
dream!
I can't
recommend Jessica highly enough. She is not only a wonderfully talented
artist, but a consummate professional and a real pleasure to work with.
From the first time I contacted her, she was courteous, cheerful and
prompt to answer any questions that I had. She's amazingly helpful about
walking people through each step of the creative process, explaining how
the artwork is progressing and asking whether the client would like to
make any adjustments along the way.
Best of all were the snapshots of the work in progress -- it was so
exciting to get each email with a new picture of the updates! Right down
to the packaging of the finished portrait and the instructions for care
that accompanied it, she was attentive to the smallest detail to make sure
that everything was perfect.

Jessica's talents have been absolutely vital in the development and
promotion of several of our best commercial projects, such as the [magnum
rock] program, the MagnumBall-Z animated series, and our Spokesmodel's
portfolio.
The images Jessica creates have an impact and a stunning drama in each of
them unlike any other. The style and tones of Jessica's work has such a
life to it, it's just uncanny how bold and vibrant they are.
We love working with Jessica, and we give her every credit and respect
possible. Her talents are phenomenal, and her personality is equally as
impressive. And that's no jive.

It was great working with Jessica and the Dougherty
Fine Art Portrait Studio! She responded very quickly to our inquiry, and
we were able to view mock-ups of the painting, and its progress, by
e-mail. The painting was done promptly, and we think its great. It
occupies a prominent place in our dining room. We highly recommend
Jessica."

I have been dealing with Jessica Dougherty for a couple
of years. I own two of her originals, plus some prints. She is, in my
opinion, the most exciting up-and-coming artist working in the pin-up
genre. In my dealings with her, she has always been prompt, reliable,
honest, and personable.
She provides detailed information on proper framing and preservation of
your purchase. She even arranged for me to meet the model she'd used for
my originals. Besides which, she is beautiful.

Jessica,
I just wanted to write to let you know what a great experience it was to
work with you. It takes a great deal of trust to have someone design
artwork for a tattoo which will be with you the rest of your life but you
easily and quickly earned my trust. You were great at responding to my
many special requests and at suggesting enhancements to make it the work
of a lifetime. Everyone who has seen the artwork has been extremely
impressed, including the model for the work. You were always quick to
reply, courteous, and professional. I really enjoyed working with you and
am looking forward to working with you again. I certainly wish you the
best of luck with everything.
